This design features an array of hand painted ships in bottles – from galleons to cruise liners – in a style that pays homage to folk art.

Mini Moderns designers Mark and Keith love nothing more than spending time hunting around second hand shops, vintage markets and charity shops, and they have always been fascinated with ships in bottles.

This slight obsession dates back to their childhood and the first episode of the television show Bagpus, in which the saggy old cloth cat is presented with a bottle and broken bits of wood – items which are magically restored to a magnificent ship in a bottle.
