SWEET PEA SEEDS
Created in collaboration with Manchester Art Gallery, our range of seeds is inspired by the wild flowers of Dungeness, bringing its magical landscape to your own garden.
SWEET PEA (Lathyrus odorata): "A mixture of colourful old-fashioned (grandiflora) varieties, which are noted for their intense & pleasing scent."
CULTIVATION: In mid-October, use a sharp knife to chip or lightly scrape the seed coating opposite the 'eye' (small scar on the seed) to aid germination: fill small pots with moist compost & sow one seed per pot 1/2 inch deep. Keep at a temperature of 15°C (60°F). From mid-November transfer to a cold frame or greenhouse & protect from frosts. May also be sown directly in the soil from mid April. The final spacing for plants is 8-12 inches giving them netting or bamboo sticks to climb.
Available in UK only.
