MARSH MALLOW SEEDS
Created in collaboration with Manchester Art Gallery, our range of seeds is inspired by the wild flowers of Dungeness, bringing its magical landscape to your own garden.
MARSH MALLOW (Althea officinalis): “The dry roots of this plant boyled in water, give out half their weight of a gummy matter like starch & on evaporating the fluid, form a flavourless yellowish mucilage. Decoctions of this plant are found exceedingly useful."
CULTIVATION: Perennial. Sow from March to July where the plants are to stand and thin them to the desired distance apart. This is a tall plant attaining some 3 ft in height so allow generous spacing to avoid over crowding.
Available in UK only.
