FENNEL SEEDS
£2.50

Created in collaboration with Manchester Art Gallery, our range of seeds is inspired by the wild flowers of Dungeness, bringing its magical landscape to your own garden.
FENNEL (Foeniculum vulgare): “One good old fashion use not quite left off, viz, to boil fennel with fish, for it consumes that flegmatick humor which fish most plentifully afford and annoy the body by, therefore it is a most fit herb for that purpose though few that use it know why or wherefore they do it.”
CULTIVATION: The seed is sown in spring for a summer crop, & towards the end of summer for a late autumn crop (in warmer countries). It is sown in rows 16-20 ins apart. Thin the seedling so as to have them 5-6 inches apart & water the plants as often & plentifully as possible.
Available in UK only.
