We caught up with Poppy Norton, the very busy Style Editor of Grand Designs magazine for a brief interview.

What was the initial inspiration for using the containers and what was your inspiration for the look you created for the Grand Designs magazine container?
“I really wanted to get across the idea that homes should be a playful, fun place to be. My plan was to contrast the industrial environment of a shipping container with something a little more welcoming – the suggestion of an adult sized dolls house and garden complete with well designed contemporary furnishings (with a sense of humour)”

What made you use our “... town?” wallpaper?
“....town?” wallpaper seemed perfect for this set – the architectural drawings really fit with the idea of what Grand Designs Magazine is about, and whilst the wallpaper is playful it is also very liveable due to the more muted colour.
